How to Set up Secure Printing
Frist set of steps will delete your current options. The next set of steps will actually set up the secure printing.
***You will need to do this for ALL THREE COPIERS (Xerox Closet, Xerox Copy Room, Xerox Office)****
This is easiest to do if you are in Microsoft Word.
1. Go to File, then Print.
2. Select one of the copy machines under "Printers".
3. Select a copy machine under "Presets".
4. Click on that same drop down menu again, and click on DELETE.
5. Repeat steps 3 through 5 until you delete ALL of the presets related to the copiers.
1. Under the printer drop down menu, select one of the Xerox copiers (Xerox Office, Xerox Closet, or Xerox Copy Room).
2. Click on Copies & Pages (make sure you only have it set up to print one copy).
3. Select Xerox Features.
4. Under Job Type, select Secure Print.
5. Enter a 4-digit code of your choice. Save it.
6. Click on the drop down menu that now says Xerox Features.
7. Click on Accounting.
8. Select Xerox Standard Accounting
9. Click on Use Default Accounting codes
10. Under ID, type in 0802.
11. Under the Presets menu at the top, click on the drop down menu.
12. Select Save As.
13. Give your preset a name. I would choose "Xerox Secure".
14. Save it. You can use this preset for EACH copier.
15. When you want to pick up your printing, go to the copy machine, click on the "Job Features" button, select your print job, and type in your special four digit code (not 0802, but the 4 digit code that you created in step 5).
